Three-Day Arduino Workshop Concludes at KEC, Preparations for KEC Light 2081 Underway


A three-day Arduino workshop was successfully conducted at Kantipur Engineering College (KEC) from December 9 to December 11 (Mangsir 24 to 26). Organized by the KEC Electronics Club, the workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. Participants learned about the basics of Arduino, its application methods, and project-building skills. To add excitement, various games were organized, boosting participants' enthusiasm, with attractive prizes awarded to the winners.

This workshop was part of the preparations for the upcoming KEC Light 2081, scheduled for December 19 (Poush 4), as per the KEC Electronics Club.

KEC Light 2081 to Be Held on December 19 (Poush 4)

The much-awaited KEC Light 2081 will be held on December 19 (Poush 4) with a grand showcase of exciting and innovative projects from electronics, computer, and civil engineering disciplines. Fun competitions will further enrich the event. The Electronics Club is offering prizes worth NPR 30,000, aiming to encourage creative and innovative projects. Students from any college can participate in all competitions hosted during the event.

Robotic Competitions

On December 18 and 19 (Poush 3 and 4), robotic competitions such as Robo Sumo, Robo Soccer, Robo Race, and Line Following Robots will take place. These competitions aim to inspire students towards technology and creativity. A total prize pool of NPR 135,000 has been allocated for these events. Hack-a-Light Hackathon

From December 12 (Mangsir 28), a 32-hour hackathon, Hack-a-Light, will be organized. This competition provides students with an opportunity to solve various problems creatively using technology. The hackathon offers a prize pool exceeding NPR 50,000.

Active Involvement of Other Clubs

In addition to the Electronics Club’s workshop, the Computer Club has conducted workshops on React and SQL, while the Civil Club has been actively organizing its own programs. These activities have energized students, who are eagerly awaiting the upcoming events. The organizers report that preparations for KEC Light 2081 are progressing rapidly.
